History & Location
Constructed in 1920, the building has a rich history mirroring the neighborhood's bustling residential and commercial transformation over the past century. It served as a dry goods warehouse, automobile repair shop, laundromat, and housed many other types of businesses over the years. Next door, society's elites relaxed at the prestigious Wynne Hotel which is now on the historic registry.
Today, the area is known as Poncey Highlands. The area, with its proximity to Ponce de Leon Avenue and North Highland Avenue, is approximately two miles from downtown Atlanta and just minutes from the new BeltLine. Poncey Highlands is surrounded by beautiful historic homes and continues to be a beacon for unique businesses, tasty restaurants, and beautiful parks.
